In Louisville, Kentucky, a school bus driver known for his big heart and selfless spirit is touching lives far beyond his community. Larry Farrish Jr., affectionately called “Mr. Larry” by the kids, recently went viral after a simple act of kindness made a world of difference for a young student.

One morning, Farrish noticed that Levi, a first grader at Engelhard Elementary, wasn’t his usual cheerful self. Instead of the smiling face that typically greeted him, Levi sat on the ground with a jacket over his head. Concerned, Farrish gently asked, “What’s wrong, buddy?” Through tears, Levi explained that he didn’t have pajamas for Pajama Day, leaving him feeling left out and sad.

Farrish couldn’t shake the thought of Levi’s heartbreak. “I knew I had to fix this,” he shared with TODAY.com.

After finishing his morning routes, Farrish headed to Family Dollar, bought two pairs of pajamas, and delivered them to Levi at school. “You were hurting this morning, so I got you these pajamas,” Farrish told him. Levi’s face lit up with joy, and he clutched the pajamas to his chest, saying through happy tears, “Mr. Larry is nice, and his heart is filled with joy.”

Levi’s Pajama Day turned into a celebration, thanks to Farrish’s thoughtfulness. The story, shared by Jefferson County Public Schools, inspired an outpouring of gratitude on social media. One parent wrote, “Mr. Larry is the absolute best. We were blessed with him as our bus driver for four years. Top-notch human.”

Farrish, a bus driver for seven years, says he’s found his calling. “I truly love every minute of it,” he shared. “Building bonds with these children is my passion.”

It’s clear that “Mr. Larry” isn’t just a driver—he’s a role model, a friend, and a bright light for the kids and families he serves. Thank you, Larry Farrish Jr., for reminding us all of the power of kindness! 🌟
